A special birthday treat for Gwen and her friends, Betty and Anne, as they paid a visit to Canterbury Cathedral. Gwen, whose husband was a Cathedral chorister, will be 104 this month. She said it was her ‘best ever birthday treat’.

Having arrived in style in a white Rolls Royce the ladies had a tour around the Cathedral where Betty showed off a prayer cushion she had made in the 1980s then shared stories of her time here when her husband was a fire watcher during the Second World War.
